Choose the original Company of Heroes on Steam
This setup is for the Steam entry named Company of Heroes. Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition is a separate library entry and is not covered by this profile. Company of Heroes 2 and Company of Heroes 3 are also separate games; use their own setup instructions.

How to play Company of Heroes on Mac
Choose Company of Heroes
Open GameToMac, select Company of Heroes, and choose Get started. Follow the setup prompts.
Sign in to Steam
Use your own account in the Steam window opened by GameToMac. Complete Steam Guard if prompted.
Install the correct entry
Install Company of Heroes in the suggested Steam library. Do not select Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition. Let downloads and verification finish.
Lead your first company
Choose Play now in GameToMac, then start a campaign or skirmish. Use your GameToMac library for later launches too.
Use the Steam window opened for Company of Heroes in GameToMac. The Legacy Edition and the sequels use different game files and are not interchangeable with this setup.
Before your first battle
Check the Steam library entry
If your library includes multiple Company of Heroes titles, install the one simply named Company of Heroes. If GameToMac cannot detect the installation, check this title first and let Steam finish verifying the files.
Choose settings for your Mac
Performance varies with your Mac, resolution, graphics settings, and the size of the battle. Start with modest settings, then adjust after playing a short skirmish. Larger battles can be more demanding.
After a game update
Allow Steam to finish downloading and verifying updates before launching again. If a problem persists, save the exact message and use GameToMac’s Help. Game updates may require a compatibility update.
