04 / SETUP-HELP

Before you saddle up

Story Mode support

The supported setup is for Story Mode. Red Dead Online has not been validated, so this guide does not promise online play.

Give the installation room

The game is a large download. Start with at least 150 GB free and leave extra room for updates. For external storage, use GameToMac’s Storage setup rather than moving game files manually.

Display and graphics settings

GameToMac prepares DirectX 12, fullscreen, and the current main display’s dimensions before launch. Existing quality settings and saves are kept. If you change monitors, relaunch the game so the new display is picked up.

Performance varies with your Mac, resolution, and graphics settings. Start with modest quality settings and adjust after playing.
